While exploring the RV life, you may have become overwhelmed by the many choices out there. If you want to keep things simple, you might want to consider an RV trailer. Many people find that a 5th wheel model offers some advantages over the basic travel trailer. If you prefer a towable RV that will keep you comfortable while you see the country, consider choosing the sturdy 5th wheel.

Room

A 5th wheel trailer extends over the bed of your pick-up truck and hooks into a coupling in the floor of that truck bed. As a result, the fifth wheel provides more living space than other towable trailers. A 34' 5th wheel will give you approximately 31'–32' of inside room while a 34' travel trailer will only give you approximately 29'–30' of living space. When you are living in an RV, that extra space can make a big difference in your comfort level.

Towing

Many consider towing a 5th wheel to be an easier job than towing a travel trailer. Since the connection is not on the bumper, 5th wheels sway less and give you a better sense of control than you have while pulling a travel trailer. Both types allow you to easily park and disengage from the trailer at the camping site. You can also find an affordable towing vehicle that will serve as your primary transportation once you camp.

Comfort

A 5th wheeler can be basic, but the larger models are often the most luxurious of the RV trailers. They offer you multi-level living because the bathroom and bedroom are located up a few stairs. You also gain more storage space because a large bay is located under the bathroom. If you need more room and more extras to be comfortable, a 5th wheel is probably the best option for you.

RV trailers are the choice of many people who choose the RV life, but if you want easier towing, more comfort, and more living space, a 5th wheeler is the best investment for you. A travel trailer works if you plan to park for long periods of time, reducing the time you have to tow it. If you plan to really travel, however, you will enjoy the maneuverability of the 5th wheel. The goal of the RV existence is to reduce stress and help you enjoy life. In many instances, you will accomplish those goals when you purchase a 5th wheeler.

About Me
Keeping Your New Car Clean

After picking out the perfect new car a few months ago, I realized that it would be difficult to keep it clean. With kids, smashed crackers and spilled milk are just part of your everyday reality. Fortunately, my auto dealer gave me a few tips that really helped. She recommended keeping a portable trashcan inside of the car, so that we could collect packages and paper scraps along the way. She also showed us which floor mats to use to capture spills. This blog is all about keeping your new car clean, so that you aren't embarrassed when you take your car in for that oil change.
